Schools/Youth groups
We have recently been doing an increasing amount of business with schools and youth groups, and I have decided to open a new section of the website just for these groups.
Model rocketry is becoming increasingly widespread as a school activity in the UK, and hopefully will become as popular as it is in the USA, where most kids get the opportunity to build and fly rockets at some stage, either as part of their regular school activities, or on a Summer Camp. Teachers and leaders can now take advantage of a wide range of teaching aids from Estes which can be accessed through the Estes Educator site at http://www.esteseducator.com/default.htm
We are able to obtain any Estes items to order from our suppliers in the USA, including bulk packs of kits etc, but if time is pressing, we can now supply part of the Quest range at a 10% discount. We source part of the Quest range from a trade distributor in the UK, and while they do not carry the entire range of Quest products at the moment, there is still a good range to choose from.
If you are a teacher thinking about introducing rocketry to your pupils, I will be happy to discuss your requirements and make some recommendations on kits and equipment etc. I will also provide you with a list of the items we can give a discount on, and obtain, usually in a matter of a few days. Please feel free to contact me with any queries by email to info@modelrockets.co.uk
In the meantime, here are some pictures of a recent launch day at Kirkham Grammar Junior School for which we provided the kits and launch equipment. Many thanks to Dave Procter for all his hard work with the kids, who had a very enjoyable day, and also for sending us these pictures. The rockets are Quest Nike Smokes, Falcons, Apollos, and there's a Big Rage in there too somewhere!
